The research is perfomed as part of the Electrons to Close the Carbon Cycle (E3C) project in collaboration with the Institute of Sustainable Process Technology (ISPT), AcelorMital, Dow, Nobian, OCI Nitrogen, TNO and Yara. The research is co-funded with subsidy from the Topsector Energy by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy.

Data underlying Table 5.1 in the dissertation 'Electrochemical CO2 conversion with a flow-through copper hollow fibre - A process parameter evaluation'.

DATA AND FILE OVERVIEW
----------------------

***Data***
Provides the raw data of electrochemical CO2 conversion with copper hollow fibre electrodes performed in 0.5M KHCO3. The experiments are performed using an H-cell, with the fibre and the reference electrode located in the cathode compartment and a Pt on Ti mesh located in the anode compartment. A Ag/AgCl (3M NaCl) reference electrode was used. The cathode and anode compartments were separated by a Sustainion X37-50 membrane. 10 ml/min CO2 was purged through the fibre and 20 ml/min CO2 was purged through the head space of the cathode compartment. The fibre sample area was approximately 0.5 cm2. A Biologic VMP-3 potentiostat was used.

The data is organized in sub-folders with the name of the uncorrected potential that was applied during the experiment, and additional information about the samples in some cases. The data folder also contains the file resistances.txt, which gives the resistance before (1st column) and after (2nd column) the experiment. The resistance was obtained by means of current interrupt (see Chapter 4 of the dissertation for more information).

The sub-folders contain the following files:
* Fiber21xxxx-x -x.xV FID.txt, Anne20211125-FID.txt or Anne20201216-FID.txt: Integrated peak areas of GC analysis of the FID (hydrocarbons)
* Fiber21xxxx-x -x.xV TCD.txt, Anne20211125-TCD.txt or Anne20201216-TCD.txt: Integrated peak areas of GC analysis of the TCD (H2, CO)
* Fiber 21xxxx-x -x.xV CA.txt, Fiber21xxxx-x -x.x_03_CA_C08.txt or likewise: Data from chronoamperometry

***Matlab***
This folder contains the Matlab codes used to process the data.

PlotWetDry.m calls all the other files in this folder and is used to calculate the partial current densities of H2 and CO for the given data.

COJun21.txt and H2Jun21.txt provide the peak areas for 1000 ppm CO and 1000 ppm H2 respectively.
